A key opens one locked room on Hajin, and its card names the Tac Map grid square of the door: letters run west to east, numbers north to south. Keys come from loot, Lieutenants, Survival Kits and DMZ Orders. Our Keys page lists every key with its room, and the Hajin map shows the doors.
How do you find a key's door?
Every key card names a grid square on the Tac Map, with letters running west to east and numbers north to south. Go to that square and look for the room the key's name describes.
Our Keys page shows each key with its room, and the Hajin map marks every door we know.
Where do keys come from?
Keys turn up as loot, in drawers, duffel bags and containers. A Lieutenant can drop a key to their own locked area, Survival Kits from the DMZ level rewards bring keys such as the Police Station Key and the Gun Store Weapons Locker Key, and the Underground chapter of the DMZ Orders pays the Coin Mining Den Key.

Key rooms are worth the detour. One Uncommon key, Gangbyeon Apartment B, opens a stronghold at Compound Echo where one run found two Epic backpacks, Degraded Execution Footage and a vest recipe, and unlocking it paid 300 XP.
Police stations hold a locked Armory, and the gun store keeps a Weapons Locker.

Can you open a locked door without a key?
Sometimes. A Door Breacher Charge breaches a locked door once, and keypad doors open with a code instead of a key; Dynamic Ops hide such codes in safes and step names.
A door locked from the inside means another way in exists, and some rooms can only be reached by climbing in, like a Deadtown room with a hole in its roof.
Do keys pay?
The Key Cash trait, a Scout Minor Trait, pays cash whenever you open a locked space with a key, more for rarer keys. Most keys also sell for 100 DMZ Cash at the FOB.
